I worked as an Android Developer for 3 years at goIbibo.com, the leading online travel agency in India. I gradually transitioned into the Analytics role taking up exciting and challenging data-driven projects shaping the product features over there. Here I was developed the flight and flight plus hotel verticals of the Android mobile application.

While working on developing products in my team, I discovered the important role data plays in dictating aspects of product development & management, and increasing customer engagement at scale as I also had the chance to work on our customer data.

I spearheaded the effort in leveraging customer journey analytics to generate actionable insights for product development and making data-driven decisions that significantly impacted our business goals like increasing revenue, higher conversion rates, personalized recommendations and improving customer experience. I also worked on several Machine Learning projects that increased the customer lifetime value of the flight vertical like the customized offers for the customers who showed the intention of booking a flight but didn't convert.

I worked on various analytics projects such as using in-app interactions, page views and funnel drop-offs to come up with a “wait-free” flight booking solution after conducting a few A/B tests on design to find which designs produced the best UX, which resulted in 1% increase in the conversion rates.

I also carried out analytics revamp of the entire Android mobile application, in coordination with the technology and marketing team. The aim of this revamp was to track the user's journey in the mobile application across different business verticals. We developed 10 dashboards feeding into a unified tracking plan across all business verticals, leading to consistent data reporting. This further led to the creation of a personalized experience for every user as we could now draw insights about every user.

Throughout my 3 years with Goibibo, I have constantly been among the top 5% performers. This has been recognized by the firm in terms of various awards and promotions.
